Inspirations and Research

Inspirations for the bridges going to Tyree and the squarehouse is the same as both are buildings for the science students. The design was taken from the model of particles. The reason why it is used is because the Tyree building is for energy engineering and the model of particle is often a symbol for energy.

The design of the bridge going to NIDA and the gym is the same as both are art and sports oriented faculty. The design of the bridge is taken from the design of fractals which also represents network.

Moving Element 2

The bridge connecting to the Squarehouse will have a platform that can move back and forth and carry people without them having to walk.

Moving Element 1

 

The covering of the bridge is a moving element as it can change the size of the gap between the steel according to the direction of the light so that when people walk on the bridge they are shaded with that.

 

 

This is how the gap will change. The point represents the Sun. When it moves, the size of the gap will change.
